The Solo Lifter's
Manifesto

We built IronWill because we were sick of workout apps treating strength training like a social media game. Here is what we believe.

The modern fitness app is broken.

Open almost any popular workout tracker today and look at what confronts you: a feed of strangers, popups urging you to buy a $60 annual subscription, notifications chastising you for missing a session, and flashing animations designed to trigger dopamine rather than focus.

These apps are not designed for lifters. They are designed for venture-backed growth metrics and recurring revenue retention.

When you step under a barbell with 140 kilos on your back, you don't care about badges. You care about one thing: what did I lift last week, and what am I lifting today?

01

Works without signal. No loading spinners.

Real training happens in concrete basements, garage setups, and crowded gyms where cell reception dies. An app that spins on a loading wheel while your rest timer ticks down ruins your workout. IronWill saves everything directly on your phone the moment you log a set. No spinners. No loading bars. No lost workouts.

02

No feeds, influencers, or virtual applause.

You do not train for an audience. You do not need a social feed telling you that a stranger logged a warm-up set. The gym is a place to focus. IronWill has no follower counts, no public profiles, and no comment sections. You compete exclusively against your own past numbers.

03

Lifting longevity over ego.

Lifting is a lifetime sport. When life gets in the way through injury, illness, or travel, trying to hit your old heavy PRs on day one is how lifters tear tendons. IronWill drops your suggested weights safely after time away, ramping you back up 5% each session so you can rebuild your strength without joint pain.

04

Accurate cable weights that reflect reality.

A 60 kg pin on a dual-cable station with a movable pulley only gives you 30 kg of actual resistance. Logging the pin number without the pulley ratio is fake math that ruins your progress tracking. IronWill calculates the true resistance you are lifting so your numbers stay consistent across any gym.

05

Free forever. Your workout log belongs to you.

Your training log is your personal history. Demanding an expensive monthly subscription just to save a fourth routine is greedy. IronWill is completely free with no subscriptions, no routine limits, and no ads. You can export your full workout history anytime.

“You don't need an audience to get strong. You need honest numbers, a safe ramp back after time off, and the discipline to show up.”
